S & B offers craft personnel competitive pay rates from project to project based on local industry markets.

Craft Supervision Benefits

Expanded benefits are available to Foremen, General Foremen, Party Chiefs or Master Mechanics who are classified as full-time employees (at least 30 hours per week). Benefits are effective 30 days from the date of hire.

Flex-Time

  • Flex time may be used after a total of 40 hours has been accrued.
  • Flex time may be carried over to any new S & B project assignment.
  • Flex time may be accrued and carried over from year to year.
  • Upon termination of employment from S & B Engineers and Constructors, Ltd., any unused flex time may be paid to the employee with final check.

Military Leave Absence

  • For Military Reservists’ annual two-week training, S & B pays the difference between the employee’s Military pay and their S & B pay, based upon a 40 hour week.
  • Training last beyond two weeks will not be paid (Flex time may be used).
  • Reservist called to active duty during the time of national military crisis will be paid difference between the employee’s military pay and their S & B pay, based upon a 40 hour week, for up to four weeks from last actual work day at S & B.

Jury Duty

  • Jury Duty will be paid for lost time, up to 40 hours per week. Notice of Jury Duty or Court Clerk receipt indicating length of time served must accompany time sheet for all time charged.

Savings and Investment Plans

  • 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan – S & B matching contribution equal to 100% of first 3% of your pay that you contribute and 50% of the next 2% of your pay that you contribute to the Plan.

Medical Insurance Coverage

  • A choice of 3 health plan levels from which to choose. PPO plans do not require you to have a referral to specialists.
  • Prescription Drug plan included.
  • Weekly payroll deduction.

Dental Insurance Coverage

  • A choice of 2 dental plan levels from which to choose.
  • No medical coverage enrollment required.
  • Weekly payroll deduction.

Vision Insurance Plans

  • All employees enrolled in one of the medical plans receive the basic vision care (eye exam) for themselves and qualified dependents.
  • Employees have the option for a Materials Buy-Up Plan which covers the cost of contact lenses and/or eyeglasses.
  • If you do not enroll in the Medical Plan, the Vision Core Plan is available with the same option of the Materials Buy-Up Plan and co-payment of the eye exam.
  • Weekly payroll deduction.

Life Insurance/AD&D/Common Carrier Insurance Coverage

  • $50,000 Basic Life Insurance paid for by S & B with Medical Benefits enrollment.
  • Spouses covered on medical will have $5000 Basic Life Insurance.
  • Dependents covered on medical will have $5000 Basic Life Insurance.
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment is provided FREE OF CHARGE to employees enrolling in any of the Medical Plans offered or Basic Life Plan. Pays $50,000 in the event of the Employee’s accidental death.
  • Basic Common Carrier is provided FREE OF CHARGE to employees enrolling in any of the Medical Plans offered or Basic Life Plan. Pays $50,000 in the event of the Employee’s death while traveling on any common carrier.

Optional Insurance Benefits

  • Employees will have the option of selecting optional insurance plans such as Additional Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Cancer, Long Term Disability, and additional Life Insurance.

Employee Assistance Program

  • S & B offers you at no cost the service of Interface, our EAP provider. This service is free to employees and family members 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Professionals are available for alcohol/drug abuse, workplace issues, depression/anxiety, family conflict, family/parenting, stress management, grief, etc.

Rewards and Recognition

Craft Personnel Annual Service Award – S & B values our committed craft employees. Each year employees are recognized for their year of service with the company.

Supervisor Excellence Award – The Supervisor Excellence Award is an accolade which distinguishes S & B construction supervisors at the project level (4) four times a year with an overall company award annually. The series of awards are intended to be a prestigious accomplishment awarded by a jury of the victor’s peers, recognized by the entire Company and coveted by all S & B supervisors. The awardees are recognized each quarter by their project and at the end of the year by a corporate committee. Award winners will receive a company plaque of recognition, cash award and FRC S & B logo clothing.
